KROGH Built-In Cooker Hoods: the Hidden Ventilation that Does the Work

KROGH built-in cooker hoods sit neatly inside your cabinet, clearing steam, smoke, and odors without taking visual space. If you want a clean look and reliable extraction, built-ins are the “no-show” solution that keeps the air fresh while you cook. Browse the range on krogh.uk. krogh.uk

Why choose a built-in hood?

  • Clean, seamless look inside a wall unit.

  • Head-clearance & comfort — nothing protruding in your face.

  • Efficient capture right above the hob.

  • Quiet, focused extraction with modern motors and LEDs.

What to check before you buy

  • Width: match the hob — usually 60 cm or 90 cm.

  • Airflow (m³/h): aim for 10–12× your kitchen volume (e.g., 20 m² × 2.5 m = 50 m³ → target ≥ 500–600 m³/h).

  • Noise (dB): 50–60 dB is comfortable for daily cooking.

  • Controls & modes: Touch/Soft-Touch, 4 speeds + Boost, timer, extraction (ducted) or recirculation (with charcoal filter).

  • Filters & lights: washable aluminum grease filter, plus charcoal cartridge for recirculation; LED lighting for a bright work area.

KROGH built-in models to consider

  • KROGH KHG 619 B (under-cabinet, 55 cm) — up to 690 m³/h airflow, 69 dB, electronic control, energy class A. Details: Product page. krogh.uk

  • KROGH KDM 639 B (under-cabinet, 60 cm) — high absorption up to 690 m³/h, low noise around 62 dB. See specs: Product page. krogh.uk

Tip: If you have an external duct, choose extraction mode for best performance. No duct? Use recirculation with the correct charcoal filter and replace it regularly.

Quick install & use checklist

  • Keep minimum clearances: about 65 cm above electric hobs, 70 cm above gas.

  • Use the recommended duct diameter (typically Ø150 mm) to avoid noise and performance loss.

  • Turn the hood on before you start cooking, and let it run 10–15 minutes after to clear residual odors.

Care & maintenance

  • Wash aluminum filters every 2–3 months (low-temp dishwasher cycle is fine).

  • Replace charcoal filters every 4–6 months (usage-dependent).

  • Wipe body/glass with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.
